RESFARM selected as a finalist for Bloomberg´s Finance for Resilence competition
Finance for Resilience (FiRe) is an open and action-oriented platform that collects, develops and helps implement powerful ideas to accelerate finance for clean energy, climate, sustainability and green growth. The Bloomberg’s initiative focuses on actionable interventions that are led primarily by the private sector, bear the potential of significant incremental finance and can be implemented independently from the international policy process of climate change
Finance for Resilience RESFARM selected the project as one of the eight best international initiatives in the field of renewable energies among more than 70 candidatures. FiRe’s experts in energy and finance, pre-selected eight new ideas with significant potential to accelerate investment in clean energy and climate finance worldwide..
The finalists, who proposed cutting-edge financial tools and new approaches to address barriers to the financing of clean energy and climate projects, met in New York on April 15th, 2015 during the celebration of the International Renewable Energy Congress to investors and leading experts worldwide.
Although RESFARM was not selected by the audience in New Yorkas winner, being selected by the top experts that formed the jury as finalist demonstrates that we are in the right path. RESFARM just started and we are pretty sure that many more opportunities and success will follow.
